Submitting Oral Histories and Archive Materials to the This Is Us Website
People may submit oral histories, audio recordings, photographs, videos, documents, written stories and other archive materials to be considered for inclusion on the This Is Us website.
What Personal Data May We Hold About Contributors?

- Your telephone number, if supplied
- Information about your connection to the story or material
- Written descriptions, transcripts or contextual information submitted with the material
- Oral history recordings, audio, video, photographs, documents or archive materials you have submitted

Submitted material may be made publicly available on the This Is Us website where the appropriate permissions have been provided. We will review submissions before publication and may contact you if further information, clarification, permissions or changes are required.
At the end of the This Is Us project, the oral histories collected through the project will be deposited with Archives+ at Manchester Central Library for long-term preservation. Archives+ may continue to store, catalogue and provide access to the oral histories in line with the permissions, consent and access restrictions agreed with contributors and participants.

We do not sell or trade your personal data.
We may share your information with:
- Trusted partners and service providers, such as ticketing or email platforms
- Collaborating organisations where relevant to a project
- Authorities where required by law
- Archives+ at Manchester Central Library for the long-term preservation of oral histories collected through the project
